Families Development Association's Handcraft Exhibition

The exhibition celebrated the work of craftswomen after extensive capacity building trainings.  This project is one of many that the Gender and Social fund  supports to enhance women's  economic participation  and advance their expertise  in the areas of their own business, in this case: accessories, embroidery and straw making.

The exhibition presented a sample of the 45 trained women work. It also demonstrates the level of dedication women have to strengthening their contribution to the society and improving the quality of their own products to compete in the local markets.

Throughout the trainings provided to women in this project, there have been success stories of how women were able to build their self-confidence and enhance their ability to market their improved products.

The uniqueness of this project lies in its intention to have an "online marketing approach for the trained Jordanian craftswomen". This set up will allow women to display a sample of their products through the setup webpage while allowing buyers to order products through the internet. It is a simple online order process that is intended to expand the options in front of women to reach as much customers as possible.  Check out 7erafeyat Project on http://7erafeyat.com/index1.php.
