With the issuance of the 4th quarterly report, which covers the duration December 2009 - February 2010, the Media Monitoring Initiative, reaches to an end. 

 

This initiative aimed at monitoring topics related to women in the Jordanian media, focusing on the five main daily newspapers in Jordan (Al Rai, Ad-Dustour, Al Ghad, Al-Arab Al Yawm and Jordan Times).

 

The project provided an opportunity for interested parties to observe and measure the different attitudes towards women, through monitoring how women are reflected in five major daily newspapers. The initiative also tracked the general level of gender sensitivity in reporting.
