The Gender and Social Fund (GSF), supported by the Canadian
International Development Agency (CIDA), aims to promote
increased, effective and equitable participation of Jordanian
women in the development of their society. Accordingly, GSF
announces its request for proposals (RFP) for two of its three
working components:
Capacity Enhancement (GSF/CB4-2009): GSF invites
interested organizations to submit proposals that will
contribute to supporting non-government organizations and
cooperatives operate their income generating
projects in a cost effective and efficient manner. The
project should help NGOs and cooperatives overcome operational
challenges. Proposals of up to JD 35,000 will be considered.
Individual NGOs and cooperatives can also apply with an
application ceiling JD 15,000. To

Development Initiative (GSF/D3-2009): GSF invites interested
non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations
either to submit proposals that will contribute to enhancing
women’s participation in the economy and labor market (proposals
of up to JD 25,000 will be considered), or NGOs in remote, rural and
underprivileged areas to submit proposals that will contribute
to empowering women and supporting them to protect themselves
through using sports and sporting activities (proposals of up to
JD 20,000 will be considered). Organizations that are interested
in applying to both topics will only be eligible for one should
both proposals pass the screening stages.
